Its in the spirit of Bishop Henry McNeil Turner, I greet you in the marvelous name of Jesus Christ, in whom all things are possible. In this new year of possibilities, it is with great humility and passion that I share with you the vision of Turner Theological Seminary for 2009 and beyond. Therefore, I invite you to visit this area often to be enlightened with special messages throughout the year.
Through the heritage of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, I look forward to leading the charge for a seminary that continues to make strides in the preparation of our students for ministry across this nation and abroad.
As we seek to prepare a new generation of men and women for ministry in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, I'm reminded of the vision set by our founders to share the gospel throughout the earth by equipping men and women of God to proclaim God's word in preaching, teaching and more importantly by their everyday walk.
Our goal at Turner Seminary is to continue to develop our programs to meet the world's need for effective ministry. We will tap into resources in technology that will make our ministers more efficiently prepared in communicating the gospel in numerous ways. We'll be progressive in our focus on community development and understanding the political and economical environments that we are in today.
I encourage each one of you to join me in making 2009 a year of advances in theological education for the preparation of men and women for ministry.
Peace and Love,
John F. Green, D.Min.
